Branding Project: What it looks like . . .
So what does a branding project include?
What are the parts of a true branding project?
Planning and branding
gives your message a more powerful kick by being in the places where
the people you want to reach live and work. Netminister can give you
all this in a package you can understand - working with you all the
way. You will never be given a book and told to
make it work. We work with your church ministry to increase
your outreach; open new opportunities using technology;
provide research; listen to you; and
leverage our expertise derived from our own research working with
over 300 plus churches. Find out how to put a solution that makes it
easier for you to reach people all the while letting you focus on
your people.
Unlike most branding companies, we work
with the whole church and ministry. From start to finish a
project may incorporate multiple parts but would always include the
basic component of research. That means actually coming to the
church whenever possible, looking, listening and examining
everything from the way people dress to the building itself to the
types of literature and methods of information distribution.
Each project is specific to the church,
taking into account the needs and resources available. But in
most every project there is the following:
-
Initial Meeting & Needs Analysis:
We analyze your current status, brainstorm the vision and
mission of the church (this may incorporate multiple meetings
and information exchange), examine all materials (bulletins,
newsletters and what the facility looks like in and out), and
determine the method of worship (contemporary or traditional).
Whenever possible, we will attend your services to determine
needs based on the visits and discussions with people. In
no case do we share our mission at this point with the people in
the church - our goal is to blend in like a regular visitor and
determine as much as possible.
-
Project Research: Once we
have a vision and mission in mind, it is time to take the pulse
of the church. This means studying their behaviors and
expectations of what it means to be a part of the ministry.
This would also incorporate a strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats analysis that would be combined and
incorporated into a complete report. Included in this
phase is the parking area, church building itself and interior.
-
Report & Recommendations:
Once all the research is completed, a final report will be
provided to the church or ministry. This can also be made
into a presentation for the entire church with the gospel
message and purpose. This report can cover everything from
worship times (starting earlier or later) based on the market
research, topics to discuss (when areas are particularly hit by
specific topics), signage, website design, promotional items,
church traffic flow patterns of people and parking allocations
(guest parking, new and expectant mother parking in addition to
traditional handicapped parking), welcome packages, bus
ministry, outreach ministries to start or stop, church 101
classes (to provide basic to intermediate information on the
church, including video and DVDs) along with additional project
recommendations as may be made to encompass additional needs
determined during research phase.
-
Implementation: This is
the project phase of developing and completing the mission and
vision in with the purpose statement. We provide the
design of new logos when needed, brochure design - either
completely or as templates, distribution plans for outreach and
promotional components. We provide all the materials along
with suggestions of ways to involve the largest portion of your
church membership. Implementation also includes
installation of the MRM solution for tracking the improvements.
This gives you a method of tracking not just the improvements.
This period is also the website go-live period as during the
reporting phase we would be developing and fine-tuning the site.
With the new logo we design, the new website and promotional
materials, signage (inside and out), blogs, software and plan in
hand, it is time to begin the work for the church.
-
Review & Redirect: No
solution is complete without examining the effects, not just in
the immediate future, but long-term along with how to make
adaptations that improve the overall branding for the church.
With intervals of examination, usually three, six, twelve,
fifteen and twenty-four months (additional periods may be needed
or fewer depending on the depth of the project) your church will
know how the project is proceeding, and we stay with you the
whole way. If we find a problem, we provide the solution
along the way.
The overall project is called the
Marketing Assessment Plan or MAP. The MAP provides you with a
insight to move ahead and reach more people. A complete
project is determined in price based on the church's need and
primarily by the size and overall scope. Pricing is available
after a needs analysis.
